I promised Valerie her own trip since I took Riley to Portland. We decided on Long Beach, WA. Having just picked a date that was good for us to go, the weather couldn't have been better and it happened to be the weekend of the Cranberrian Festival.
A bit of background for those who aren't familiar with the area. The Long Beach Peninsula is a 28-mile-long strip of sand and fun off the southwestern corner of Washington. Locals call it the "World's Longest Beach," though that is debatable. The peninsula is between 2 and 5 miles wide and is pinned between Willapa Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
