Miss Lily and Picnik

Debi's 5-year-old daughter Lily had a dance recital on Saturday and Debi sent me some pictures she took. I had a little fun playing with them on Picnik and came up with some adorable portraits.

Here is the BEFORE shot. For the AFTER portrait, I cropped it, tweaked the color, contrast and exposure, added a matte finish and fade, then finished it off with the roses, text and frame.

Here is another edit I did of the same photo. After cropping, I gave it a focal black and white effect and then decreased the saturation to dull the red. I also gave it the vignette shadowing and a frame.

Here's another BEFORE shot.

This one is done just like the very first picture was.

BEFORE:

AFTER: This one took all the basic crop, exposure, contrast and saturation tweaks, then I used the focal soften which blurs everything not in a set focal point. I used the matte finish and fade, added a frame, text and the hearts.

Debi took this picture with her cell phone so the quality isn't as good as with a regular camera but I was able to make it look pretty good. BEFORE:

AFTER. Basically the same treatments as the others, but I added all the flowers and butterflies in (one by one!). I also gave it a bit of a blur since the picture quality was a bit grainy. I also rounded the corners and gave it a double frame.

There are things that I might have done to these pictures that aren't possible with Picnik, but it does pretty good for the free version.

Those look soo good edited! Great eye for that! I've used picnik a few times, but found I started spending way too much time on each photo! It's a lot of fun though!!!
