Prom was April 21st and Valerie had a great time. The highlight of the evening was being crowned 1st attendant! She went with a boy from our ward and 2 other couples. They went to Seattle for dinner at an Italian restaurant and then to the prom which was held at the Experience Music Project, a museum of modern music next to the Space Needle in Seattle. The exhibits were open to them while they were there and she had never been so that was fun. Note the interesting dress choice. Not what I would have chosen for a prom but pretty anyway. She got it at Goodwill for $5 (she already had the little sweater). Her hair was actually much more curly when she left home as seen in the picture with her date.
